Guys are from Mars, Girls are from Venus,
no middle ground, just one huge gap
Guys are dirty, Girls prefer cleanness,
but it’s much more than what’s in your lap
Guys like big trucks, Girls like cute cars,
all these role makes my head spin
Guys eat red meat, Girls eat all lean,
I feel like I can’t ever win
Guys wear long pants, Girl wear short skirts,
help me I’m drowning in this foreign realm
Guys make big things, Girls learn to sew
my ship is rocking, lost my grip of the helm
Guys do not feel, Girls can not drive,
I live on Earth, one planet, two cliques
Guys can not hug, Girls do not fight,
I find common minds by hide and go seek
Guys enjoy gross, Girls cherish shoes,
snips and snails and puppy dog tails
Guys become men, Girls become moms,
everything nice is not meant for males
Guys run around, Girls skip and laugh,
I’m all alone, a planet-less thing
Guys punch your arm, Girls kick your groin,
hanging to life by a singular string
Guys are too dumb, Girls innocent,
I’ve come to the only conclusion I know
If guys are from Mars, and girls from Venus,
I have to be some loser from Pluto
Seriously, though, I really like this poem. It captures a sad and confusing truth about the uselessness of gender roles. Nicely done.
I appreciate the comments
makes me feel like actually doing more deviations...if I'm ever not lazy >_<
